GENERALIST DUTIES

The Iris Clubhouse was founded in 2015 to help Natrona County residents experiencing mental illness lead productive and satisfying lives. Following the International Clubhouse Model, the Iris Clubhouse is a local, independent 501(c)(3) non-profit seeking a generalist.
Purpose of the Position
The Clubhouse Generalist will work in partnership with staff and members in the daily operation of the clubhouse employment, education, advocacy, and wellness programs. The Generalist is responsible for engaging Clubhouse members in all activities that keep the community going while also assisting them in reaching their recovery goals and ensuring quality support and services.
Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties
Participate in all aspects of the Clubhouse providing leadership and direction by working side by side with members
Assist in organizing and engaging members in the work ordered day and social and recreational activities
Document and file critical incidents that occur with the members and report those to the Director
Maintain records with documentation of services provided
Responsible for preparing timely reports and completing case notes and service plans using an electronic database
Collaborate with treatment, housing, education, vocational providers, and all other appropriate community agencies
Active participation in operating and maintaining program/and or physical maintenance
of the Clubhouse. Develop and expand programming that engages and benefits the clubhouse members
Assist in and oversee the development of transitional employment opportunities for members of the Clubhouse
Facilitate workshops and meetings, encouraging member input for shared decision-making and program improvements
Attend training and supervision meetings and adheres to strict confidentiality guidelines with members and other staff
Mediate disagreements among members using a conflict management model
Assist with training of new staff members and volunteers
Qualifications/Requirements
Preference will be given to those with a degree in the human services field
Preference given to those with experience and skill in programs for people with a mental illness
Demonstrates communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Possesses a current valid U.S. driver’s license and be willing to drive the clubhouse van
Must be willing to become CPR/First Aid Certified
Must be able to use or learn various computer and software programs
Able to lift 20 pounds and be physically active
Must be punctual
